Generator Commission Engineer (4‑day contract)

About the role

This short‑term assignment involves commissioning and safety verification of a 2‑pole air‑cooled Siemens generator (204 kVA, 3000 rpm) at a power plant in Erbil. The work will be performed during the outage window of 07‑14 June 2026, with accommodation provided.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify existing generator protection relay settings against documentation.
• Perform functional verification of generator protection and safety functions, including alarms and interlocks.
• Support generator‑related safety inspection and commissioning tests within the defined outage window.
• Conduct control‑system interface checks between protection relays and the PCS7/SCADA system, documenting any limitations.
• Carry out borescope visual inspection of stator and rotor components and perform stator winding insulation resistance testing.
• Document observations and provide recommendations to the Siemens Energy project manager.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑site for four working days (10 hours per day) with Friday rest.
• Availability during the outage window of 07‑14 June 2026.
• Experience with generator protection and safety verification tasks.
