Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

Accor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to lead all food and beverage operations in Baghdad, Iraq. You will ensure exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and profitability while creating memorable dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a strong floor presence, greet guests, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, shift logs, pre‑service briefings, and menu optimization.
• Supervise service staff, handle guest concerns diplomatically, and ensure food and beverage quality standards.
• Manage inventory, analyze profit & loss statements, control cash, and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Lead recruitment, performance reviews, staff development, and foster collaboration between service, kitchen, and dining teams.
• Develop and manage wine lists and beverage programs, providing sommelier support and pairing expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years progressive food and beverage management experience in a restaurant, hotel or similar hospitality establishment.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine and liquor offerings with pairing expertise.
• Excellent customer service and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating and developing teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Advanced proficiency with POS systems and point‑of‑sale technology.
