Fire Inspector Lead

About the role

The Fire Inspector Lead will be stationed in Iraq supporting LOGCAP operations. Reporting to the Deputy Fire Chief, this role combines supervisory, technical, and administrative duties to ensure fire prevention and suppression standards are met across the installation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of commercial, industrial, and residential structures to identify and mitigate fire hazards.
• Investigate fire incidents, determine cause and origin, and complete required reports.
• Develop, administer, and supervise fire prevention education and public awareness programs.
• Review construction and modification plans, providing technical guidance on fire safety criteria.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of fire inspectors and other fire personnel.
• Maintain inspection records, fire protection equipment inventories, and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum five years of proven experience as a fire inspector in fire emergency services.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and adapt to the operational environment in Iraq.

Required skills

• Fire Inspector II certification
• Fire Instructor I certification
• Fire Investigator certification
• Plans reviewer (preferred)
• Knowledge of fire prevention and suppression methods
• Familiarity with construction and modification plan review
