Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will monitor, analyze, and control manufacturing consumption within a flexible plant environment. The role supports budgeting, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost reporting, using SAP as the primary tool.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze manufacturing consumption, inventory, and production variances.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly consumption reports for management.
• Perform standard costing, product costing, and cost variance analysis.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and reconcile inventory accounts.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, and finance teams to improve cost efficiency.
• Analyze raw material consumption, labor costs, and overhead allocations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Utilize SAP for cost analysis, reporting, inventory management, and financial transactions.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost‑accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Experience in flexible plant or manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
