Completion & Work‑Over Engineer – Basra, Iraq

About the role

Eni is seeking a Completion & Work‑Over Engineer to join the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. You will develop workover and completion designs, optimise investments and ensure the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety and environmental protection.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and engineer workover and completion operations to meet technical, safety and cost objectives.
• Prepare detailed workover and completion programmes and cost breakdowns in line with company procedures.
• Monitor execution, track performance, benchmark costs and prepare post‑workover reports.
• Conduct special studies, including the implementation of intelligent completion technologies.
• Support rig‑site operations and assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders for workover rigs, perforations, acid stimulation, fracturing, dual completion, cement bonding logs and remedial cement squeezing.
• Recommend changes to programmes and ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Required profile

• Fluent English (upper‑intermediate level).
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental (HSE) practices.
