About the role

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a high‑acuity cath lab environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and related procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout the procedure.
• Assist cardiologists during invasive interventions and manage cath‑lab equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate pre‑, intra‑, and post‑procedure care, including medication administration.
• Ensure strict infection‑control and safety protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and participate in emergency response for acute cardiac events.
• Educate patients and families on post‑procedure care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Valid nursing license and eligibility to practice in Iraq.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience in cardiac nursing and caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Hands‑on experience in a cath‑lab setting, including sterile techniques and workflow familiarity.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site, including shifts, on‑call rotations, and continuous professional development.
