Architect / Civil Engineer – Residential Complex Supervision

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Engineer or Civil Engineer to join our supervision team on a major residential complex project in Karbala, Iraq. The successful candidate will lead the finishing works on‑site, ensuring they meet design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee all finishing works, including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, ceilings, doors, aluminium, façade, and other architectural finishes.
• Monitor daily activities on site, verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, inspection requests, and site instructions related to finishing works.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify defects or non‑conformities, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, inspection records, and snagging lists.
• Support the project team in resolving technical and coordination issues and assist in handover and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of construction/site supervision experience, with at least 3 years on residential complexes or large‑scale housing projects.
• Strong background in supervising finishing and architectural works.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and snagging/handover requirements.
