Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer will support Baly’s daily financial operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, timely transaction processing, and reliable reporting. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑moving tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, wallet, vendor, and payment‑gateway reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, reimbursements, and expense claims.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
• Monitor operational transactions such as driver payouts, merchant settlements, refunds, and payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (advantageous).
