Accountant – JD Edwards ERP

About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial accounting activities using the JD Edwards ERP system. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, timely reconciliations, and proper handling of supplier and customer transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Verify daily bank, customer and supplier statements to ensure accurate transaction recording and support credit control.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for banks, customers and suppliers, and post necessary adjusting entries.
- Enter delegated pre‑coded vouchers in JD Edwards daily to maintain an up‑to‑date general ledger.
- Allocate receipts and payments, raise and check debit notes (DNs) and credit notes (CNs) for both payables and receivables.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of general accounting experience in Iraq, with specific knowledge of the Iraqi market.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
