Accountant

About the role

Click Iraq is hiring an organized, detail-oriented Accountant in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, to manage daily financial operations and keep accurate reporting across its projects.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions and keep accurate accounting records.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking and collection follow-ups.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances and petty cash.
• Prepare monthly financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Support payroll preparation and verify payments and deductions.
• Track project expenses, budgets and profitability.
• Maintain financial documentation and support audits and tax filings.
• Work with management and project teams to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and time management.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work across teams.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; ERP experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve productivity while protecting confidential data is a plus.
