Accountant (Finance Manager Reporting)

About the role

The company is seeking a diligent Accountant to support the Finance Manager in Sulaymaniya. The role involves comprehensive bookkeeping, financial reporting, and cash‑flow management while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and ensure accurate data entry.
• Organise and update accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor cash flow, assist in budgeting and financial planning.
• Handle invoices, payments, receipts and ensure timely collection of receivables.
• Visit banks for deposits and customers for credit collection when required.
• Assist with tax audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Manage expense sheets and execute payment transfers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Valid Accounting Syndicate ID.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Team‑oriented, self‑motivated and results‑driven.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
