Technical Support Engineer – Solar PV

About the role

As an After‑Sales Technical Support Engineer for a solar PV company, you will be the frontline expert responsible for resolving complex technical issues with solar products and systems. You will configure, troubleshoot, and optimise solutions to ensure seamless operation for customers while acting as the trusted liaison between clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Reproduce customer‑specific solar PV system environments, diagnose issues and design targeted tests to validate solutions.
• Efficiently manage and resolve electronic support tickets, providing timely updates and clear communication throughout the process.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers, Sales and Customer Success teams, translating technical details into actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and configure software and hardware components, including inverters, monitoring platforms and networking equipment.
• Document technical issues, root causes and resolution steps in the knowledge base to build a scalable support framework.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on technical support experience, preferably in renewable energy, solar PV or related electrical/networking fields.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a proven record of empathetic, solution‑focused support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex networking environments and configuring hardware/software systems.
• Familiarity with solar PV components such as inverters, charge controllers and monitoring software is a strong plus.
