Technical Specialist – Gas Processing Plant (CPF)

About the role

AntonAnton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Technical Specialist to support daily operations of its gas processing plant (CPF) in Basra, Iraq. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for routine plant operations and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Monitor and analyse operating parameters to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Assist with start‑up, shutdown and operational changes of gas processing facilities.
• Optimize systems such as inlet separation, gas dehydration, compression, sweetening and condensate handling.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement initiatives to improve throughput, reliability and energy efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and participate in HAZOP, RCA, risk assessments and MOC activities.
• Review and update process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, operating procedures and technical reports.
• Support plant modifications, debottlenecking projects, commissioning and performance testing.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance and engineering teams, providing technical guidance and training to plant personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in gas processing plants or CPF facilities.
• Strong knowledge of gas processing operations, production facilities and process optimisation.
• Solid troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills in a site‑based environment.
