Sorani Language Teacher – Remote (Hourly)

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Sorani speaker to join our remote team on an hourly contract. The role focuses on translating, editing and improving Sorani language data that powers AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and localize content between Sorani and English, ensuring cultural accuracy.
• Edit, proofread and review AI‑generated Sorani text for quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate and enhance Sorani language datasets.
• Develop linguistic guidelines and documentation for annotation processes.
• Identify errors, provide feedback and contribute to the improvement of Sorani language models.
• Communicate insights and updates clearly with team members.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Sorani with strong grasp of linguistic nuances.
• Proven experience in translation, editing or linguistic analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Sorani and English.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Interest in AI language technologies and data annotation workflows.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital tools for language editing and content management.

What we offer

• Hourly rate ranging from $40 to $95 per hour.
