Service Advisor – Automotive Service Department

About the role

The Service Advisor will be the primary liaison between customers and the workshop at our Toyota dealership in Basra. You will receive service requests, document vehicle concerns, and coordinate repairs to ensure timely, high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in the service reception area, listen to their concerns and accurately record vehicle issues and service requirements.
• Create and manage job cards, documenting customer requests, vehicle details, and required maintenance or repair work.
• Perform initial vehicle inspections, noting visible damage, mileage and service history.
• Explain recommended services, estimated costs and timelines to customers in line with dealership policies.
• Coordinate with workshop controllers, technicians, parts and quality teams to ensure proper execution of jobs.
• Monitor repair progress, provide status updates to customers and obtain approvals for any additional work.
• Arrange parts availability, verify completion of work, conduct final inspections and oversee vehicle delivery.
• Prepare and present final invoices, maintaining accurate records in the Autoline system.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and follow up after service completion to ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a service‑related or supervisory role within the automotive industry.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using the Autoline dealership management system.
