Sales Representative – Oil & Gas Services

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales Representative to drive new business and nurture existing client relationships within the oil and gas machine shop services sector. The role focuses on the southern region of Iraq, with close coordination between the Erbil office and field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential customers to generate new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Analyse customer needs and present suitable products and services.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Manage the sales process in coordination with operational departments and management.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and sales team to improve service offerings based on feedback.
• Maintain accurate customer database, meeting minutes, and regular market analysis reports.
• Monitor tender opportunities in the southern region and ensure timely submission of quotes and tenders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in a sales‑driven environment.
• Background in oil and gas, specifically drilling and completion operations/equipment.
• Familiarity with oil and gas protocols and processes in South Iraq.
• Fluent Arabic, very good English; Kurdish is a plus.
• Resident of Basra city preferred, with a valid driving licence and own vehicle.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM software.
• Use of sales analytics tools.
• Knowledge of drilling and completion equipment.
