Marketing Lead – Derma‑Cosmetics & Aesthetics

About the role

Biotech Iraq, a leading distributor of derma‑cosmetics in Iraq, is seeking a senior Marketing Lead to drive the strategy and growth of its Derma‑Cosmetics and Aesthetics portfolio. The role will oversee multiple brands, manage a team of Product Managers and digital marketing specialists, and ensure strong market execution across the Iraqi pharmacy channel.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall marketing strategy for the Derma‑Cosmetics/Aesthetics portfolio.
• Coach, manage and develop Product Managers, designers, photographers and other digital marketing resources.
• Review and challenge annual brand plans, launch plans, campaigns and activation calendars.
• Translate market trends, consumer insights and competitor activity into actionable business plans.
• Lead new product launches, seasonal campaigns, consumer activations and portfolio growth initiatives.
• Partner with sales and trade teams to strengthen pharmacy execution, visibility and sell‑out performance.
• Support dermatologist and skincare professional engagement activities.
• Manage relationships with brand principals, agencies and external partners.
• Track brand performance, campaign results and commercial KPIs, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Build marketing team capability in brand strategy, consumer insight, commercial analysis and execution excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Life Sciences or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, brand or product management, with at least 2–3 years of people‑management experience.
• Proven experience in derma‑cosmetics, skincare, beauty, personal care, healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy channel dynamics, consumer activation and dermatologist engagement.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
