Key Stage 1 Teacher – British School, Erbil (Start Aug 2026)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our British‑style international school in Erbil. The successful candidate will inspire young learners, nurture curiosity and lay strong foundations for lifelong learning while experiencing the rich culture of Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 1 pupils using the British curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership.
• Participate in professional development and school events.

Required profile

• BA degree in Primary Education with QTS.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably with the British curriculum.
• Demonstrated creativity and passion for early years education.
• Ability to thrive in an international, multicultural setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
