Key Account Specialist – R&I (Iraq)

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Key Account Specialist to drive business growth in Iraq. You will build trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals, promote the company’s innovative portfolio, and contribute to improving patient outcomes through ethical and compliant engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Promote AstraZeneca products through ethical, compliant interactions with healthcare professionals.
• Execute promotional activities such as commercial visits, conferences, and seminars in line with the approved promotional plan (TAP).
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with key customers and healthcare stakeholders.
• Keep the customer database up‑to‑date for the assigned territory.
• Provide regular feedback on client interactions, market trends, and sales performance.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of AstraZeneca products, therapeutic areas, and the competitive landscape.
• Conduct profiling and segmentation of healthcare professionals to improve targeting.
• Report activities and performance accurately in the CRM system.
• Prepare financial and administrative reports in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
• Uphold AstraZeneca’s corporate policies, business ethics, and professional image.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) with a solid scientific background.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company in a similar role.
• Proven Key Account Management experience.
• Previous experience in Respiratory, Immunology or related therapeutic areas is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for activity tracking and reporting.
