Key Account Specialist – R&I (Iraq)

About the role

As a Key Account Specialist for the Respiratory & Immunology portfolio in Iraq, you will drive business growth by building trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals and promoting AstraZeneca’s innovative medicines. You will work within a Key Account Management framework to strengthen long‑term relationships, deliver compliant promotional activities, and contribute to improved patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Promote AstraZeneca products through ethical, compliant engagement with healthcare professionals.
• Implement promotional activities such as commercial visits, conferences and seminars in line with the approved promotional plan (TAP).
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customers and healthcare stakeholders.
• Maintain and regularly update the customer database for the assigned territory.
• Provide consistent feedback on client interactions, market trends and sales performance.
• Conduct profiling and segmentation of healthcare professionals to optimise targeting strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activities and performance in the CRM system.
• Prepare financial and administrative reports in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.

Required profile

• A degree in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm or Pharm.D.) with a solid scientific background.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in Key Account Management.
• Previous experience working with Respiratory and/or Immunology therapeutic areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
