About the role
GT Iraq is seeking an experienced HR Officer to support HR operations and enhance employee experience at its Umm Qasr location.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and off‑boarding processes.
- Maintain employee records, process monthly payroll and support compensation and benefits administration.
- Handle employee relations matters and provide HR support to employees and managers.
- Administer attendance, leave, training, performance management and ensure compliance with company policies and Iraqi labor law.
- Manage visas, residency and work permits for expatriate staff and arrange travel, accommodation and transportation for expatriates and visitors.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5–7 years of HR experience, including payroll administration, recruitment and employee relations.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi labor law.
- Experience handling expatriate visas, residency permits and travel arrangements.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
