Education Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term, Baghdad

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Specialist (P-3) on a fixed‑term basis to support the design, implementation and monitoring of education programmes in Iraq. Working under the guidance of the Chief, Education (P‑4), you will contribute to the Country Programme Document 2025‑2029 and help improve learning outcomes for the most disadvantaged children.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and preparation of education programmes and projects.
• Manage, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on the progress of education initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and management support for activities under Output 1 – Education System Strengthening.
• Facilitate the achievement of results that promote equitable and inclusive education for marginalized and excluded children.

Required profile

• Experience in managing education programmes or projects.
• Ability to monitor, evaluate and report on programme performance.
• Knowledge of education system strengthening and equity principles.
• Capacity to work under the supervision of senior education staff.
