Credit Controller – Accounts Receivable Management

About the role

The Credit Controller will manage Erbil‑based accounts receivable, control customer credit risk, and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances to support healthy cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new customer credit applications, set credit limits and payment terms, and periodically review them.
• Monitor credit exposure, place accounts on hold when limits are exceeded, and enforce the company’s credit policy.
• Collect overdue invoices through calls, emails and visits, negotiate payment arrangements and escalate long‑overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts, allocate payments in the ERP system, and resolve disputes with sales, warehouse and finance teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly aging reports, forecast collections and identify high‑risk accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, reconcile sub‑ledger to the general ledger and provide documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with sales, logistics and finance to balance commercial objectives with credit risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit management and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess credit risk and monitor collections.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
