Corporate Relationship Manager – Iraq (Al Basrah)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Relationship Manager to lead and expand our corporate client portfolio in Al Basrah, Iraq. The role involves building strong relationships with existing and new corporate customers, providing advisory support, and driving growth of the bank’s credit portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, acquire and retain corporate clients, maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Develop and deepen client relationships to expand credit exposure and cross‑sell banking solutions such as trade finance, treasury and cash management.
• Conduct industry and credit analyses, prepare recommendations and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Visit clients regularly, respond to requests, and monitor service quality and satisfaction.
• Track account performance, manage overdue exposures, and raise early warning signals to relevant departments.
• Lead a team in achieving portfolio growth targets and support the Early Warning System process.
• Participate in business continuity and emergency response initiatives to safeguard operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in corporate lending.
• Proven experience dealing with large corporations, industrial groups and major economic entities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of bank products and services, internal policies and procedures.
• Effective communication, presentation, negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

• Proficiency with banking systems and general computer applications.
