Chief Commercial Officer (Group Level)

About the role

Rabban Al‑Safina Group is seeking a senior commercial leader to steer the Group’s commercial strategy at the executive level. The Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability and market expansion across the Group’s diversified portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the Group’s commercial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead revenue generation initiatives, profitability analysis and market expansion efforts.
• Negotiate major contracts, tenders and bids with government entities, investors and international partners.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships and high‑value customer relationships.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify new growth opportunities.
• Build, mentor and manage a high‑performing commercial team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, investment evaluation and commercial risk management.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of commercial experience, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles; 20 years preferred for candidates from large diversified groups.
• Proven track record as a CCO, Commercial Director, Business Development Director or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of the Iraqi market and experience with international business practices.
• Strong background in energy, power generation, oil & gas, EPC, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing or technology sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, secure strategic partnerships and manage large‑scale contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Marketing or Management; MBA preferred.
