Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) – Group Level

About the role

Rabban Al‑Safina Group, a leading diversified Iraqi conglomerate, is looking for a senior executive to steer its commercial activities at group level. The Chief Commercial Officer will shape and execute the commercial strategy across multiple sectors, driving growth and profitability both locally and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the Group’s commercial strategy, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Drive revenue growth, improve profitability and expand market presence across energy, power generation, oil & gas, EPC, infrastructure and technology sectors.
• Lead major contract negotiations, tenders, bids and partnership agreements with government entities, investors and international organisations.
• Build and manage strategic accounts and high‑value customer relationships.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify new growth opportunities.
• Develop, mentor and lead a high‑performing commercial team.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, investment evaluation and commercial risk management.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of commercial experience, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles; 20 years preferred for candidates from large diversified groups.
• Proven track record as a CCO, Commercial Director, Business Development Director, Sales Director or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of the Iraqi market and extensive exposure to international business practices.
• Strong background in energy, power generation, oil & gas, EPC, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing or technology sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead revenue growth, strategic partnerships, major contracts and commercial transformation.
• Executive presence, strong negotiation skills and a solid professional reputation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Marketing or Management; MBA preferred.
