Audit & Assurance Internship – Accounting & Reporting Advisory (Erbil)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated intern to join Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance team within the Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice in Erbil. The role offers a hands‑on experience supporting audit engagements for a variety of clients while gaining exposure to Deloitte’s innovative tools and methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in performing analytical reviews of audit documentation and workpapers.
• Review client accounting processes, operating procedures and internal control systems.
• Identify accounting and auditing issues, conduct research and propose solutions.
• Provide recommendations to improve controls and enhance business efficiency.
• Apply AI‑enabled tools where appropriate, ensuring confidentiality and ethical use.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing).

Required skills

• Familiarity with AI or digital tools used for audit productivity (e.g., data analytics platforms).
