Electrical and Computer Lab Instructor

About the role

The American University of Iraq, Baghdad (AUIB) seeks a motivated Electrical and Computer Lab Instructor to lead hands‑on laboratory sessions for engineering students. You will bridge theory and practice, ensuring a safe, engaging, and well‑organized learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate laboratory experiments, guiding students in applying engineering concepts.
• Prepare, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment and materials.
• Support faculty in course delivery and assist in updating lab manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and academic standards.
• Mentor students, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of lab instruction.
• Serve as point of contact for departmental programs, handle administrative tasks, and coordinate procurement of supplies.
• Organize records, schedule meetings, and record minutes as directed by the Dean.

Required profile

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills and ability to work with diverse colleagues and students.
• Capacity to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
