Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our on‑site team in Baghdad. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining server‑side applications and APIs that power our front‑end services. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build and optimize server‑side applications using ASP.NET Core or Node.js.
• Ensure responsiveness and scalability of APIs for front‑end consumption.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and other stakeholders to integrate features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve code quality.
• Manage database interactions and support server administration tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in backend development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software development principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and solve complex problems.
• Familiarity with front‑end development concepts for smooth integration.

Required skills
