Training Team Leader - Oil & Gas Project (Onsite, South Iraq)

About the role

A major Oil & Gas project in South Iraq is looking for an experienced Training Team Leader to lead training activities, build technical skills and prepare teams for safe and smooth operations. The role develops skilled operators, improves team performance and ensures operational readiness. The position is onsite and open to both expatriate and Iraqi candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project's training team
• Plan and deliver technical training for operators and other staff
• Identify skill gaps and create training plans to improve team skills
• Manage operator training simulators and related training activities
• Prepare teams for commissioning and start-up activities
• Ensure training meets project standards and safety rules
• Track training progress, review team performance and maintain training records
• Prepare progress reports and work closely with project teams, clients and contractors

Required profile

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Proven experience as a Training Team Leader or in a similar role
• Experience on major Oil & Gas projects and with Tier 1, 2 or 3 operators or contractors
• Strong knowledge of technical skills development and operator training
• Good understanding of commissioning readiness
• Strong leadership, communication and team management skills
• Willingness to commit to a minimum 3-year employment period, extendable based on performance
