Trade Finance Officer

About the role

The Trade Finance Officer is responsible for processing and monitoring SWIFT transfers and cross‑border payments, as well as handling operational activities related to MAZAD transactions. The role requires independent transaction handling, strict regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal departments and correspondent banks.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing SWIFT transfers and cross‑border payment transactions.
• Review payment instructions and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Prepare, send, and follow up SWIFT payment messages and related correspondence.
• Monitor payment status, resolve pending, rejected, returned, or queried transactions.
• Handle operational activities related to MAZAD transactions, including data entry on EY and K2 platforms.
• Verify entered information against customer instructions and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with branches and departments to obtain missing documents or clarifications.
• Communicate with correspondent banks on investigations, amendments, and returns.
• Ensure compliance with CBI requirements, internal policies, AML/CFT, sanctions, and SWIFT standards.
• Maintain complete transaction records, audit trails, and prepare operational reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in international banking, SWIFT operations, cross‑border payments or trade finance.
