TAR Supervisor – Onshore Brownfield Project (Basra, Iraq)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced TAR Supervisor to join its Iraq Business Unit and support the safe, efficient delivery of the Turnaround and Maintenance (TAR) program for a major on‑shore brownfield project in Basra.

Key responsibilities

• Support the TAR Lead in planning and executing the TAR program on‑site.
• Promote a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture, lead Toolbox Talks and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate and de‑conflict simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) while managing multiple activities safely.
• Provide technical guidance on fixed‑equipment turnarounds, including pressure‑vessel repairs and isolation procedures.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, Operations and Projects teams to align execution plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising Turnaround and Maintenance activities in oil & gas environments.
• Strong understanding of pressure‑vessel repair, process isolation, de‑pressurising and safe shutdown practices.
• Ability to lead a multicultural team and communicate effectively across functions.
• Commitment to HSE best practices and continuous improvement.
