Senior Programme Associate (Return and Reintegration)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Senior Programme Associate to support Return and Reintegration activities. Working under the Deputy Chief of Mission and senior programme coordinators, the role focuses on administrative and financial management across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor financial aspects of all projects, including expenditure, fund availability, and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare expenditure plans and internal monitoring reports, identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing project budgets, analyse variances between budgeted and actual spending, and forecast future budget needs.
• Identify unusual financial trends and alert project managers and resource officers for timely corrective action.
• Collaborate with programme officers and technical staff to design operational solutions, including new systems, processes, or tools.

Required profile

• Experience in financial monitoring, budgeting and expenditure planning for development or migration programmes.
• Ability to produce clear financial reports and analyse budget variances.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with project officers, resource management officers and technical teams.
• Familiarity with UN/NGO programme administration and financial procedures.
