Senior Civil and Structural Design Engineer - Onsite

About the role

The Senior Civil and Structural Design Engineer will work on‑site for KBR’s Majnoon project in Basra, Iraq. The role involves developing detailed civil and structural designs, creating 3D models, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop civil and structural bills of materials and produce layout and detail drawings.
• Create grading, roadway, and drainage models using Civil 3D and generate 2D drawing packages.
• Model RCC foundations, piles, pile caps, and structural steel elements in 3D, and extract general arrangement drawings.
• Perform clash/interface checks, resolve conflicts, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare material take‑offs, review vendor drawings, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Issue engineering drawings for inter‑discipline checks, produce red‑line mark‑ups, and generate as‑built drawings after construction.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and structural design engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (ACAD) and Navisworks software.
• Experience supervising small engineering teams.
