Scaffolding Superintendent – EPCM Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Scaffolding Superintendent to lead all scaffolding operations on KBR‑EPCM projects in Iraq. The role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, CISRS standards, OSHA regulations and client safety expectations while supporting the construction schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the approved scaffolding procedure across all project sites.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work documents.
• Supervise erection, modification, inspection and dismantling of scaffolds, ensuring CISRS and OSHA compliance.
• Verify competency and certification of scaffold team members and maintain continuous compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to align scaffolding works with the construction schedule.
• Act as the focal point for all scaffolding‑related issues within the KBR‑EPCM scope.
• Conduct regular scaffold inspections, compliance checks and safety audits.
• Maintain detailed records, inspection logs and ensure traceability of all scaffolding activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years scaffolding experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial projects.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of international scaffolding standards (CISRS, OSHA, BS EN 12811).
• Prior experience on EPCM projects, preferably with KBR or similar organisations.
• Leadership, organisational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• CISRS Advanced Scaffolder certification.
• CISRS Scaffold Inspector certification.
• CISRS Scaffold Supervisor certification.
