QHSE Manager

About the role

The QHSE Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management system for operations across Iraq. The role ensures regulatory compliance, operational excellence and risk mitigation while supporting safe project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional QHSE strategy aligned with corporate objectives and international standards.
• Establish, standardise and continuously improve QHSE policies, procedures, templates and risk‑management processes.
• Provide QHSE oversight throughout the full project lifecycle, integrating safety and environmental compliance with technical execution.
• Design and maintain project risk registers, conduct risk assessments and lead emergency response planning and drills.
• Develop customer‑focused QHSE performance metrics, conduct satisfaction surveys and manage contractual QHSE requirements.
• Plan and execute the annual internal QHSE audit programme, lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Coordinate QHSE activities across all Iraq operations and act as liaison between headquarters and regional sites.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and deliver annual QHSE training programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Risk assessment and risk‑management methodologies.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective‑preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Audit planning and execution.
• Incident investigation and emergency response coordination.
