PSV Calibration Mechanical Technician

About the role

Anton.Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Mechanical Technician specialized in PSV calibration to join its Iraq operations. The role involves maintaining and calibrating pressure safety valves for oil & gas, petrochemical and related process facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, dismantle, clean, repair, lap, assemble, calibrate and test Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) using approved procedures.
• Perform set‑pressure adjustments, blow‑down verification and leak testing with calibrated equipment.
• Refurbish PSV components such as seats, discs, springs and sealing surfaces, and recommend replacement when necessary.
• Operate calibration benches, test pumps, pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments safely and accurately.
• Maintain accurate calibration certificates, service reports and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, isolation, permit‑to‑work and pressure safety requirements while coordinating with operations, maintenance and contractors.

Required profile

• High School certificate or 3‑year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational qualification.
• 5–10 years of hands‑on PSV maintenance and calibration experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of PSV components, set‑pressure adjustment, functional testing and valve refurbishment.
• Ability to read technical drawings, valve datasheets, manufacturer manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
