Procurement Assistant – Support Purchasing Operations

About the role
The Procurement Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the procurement function, handling purchase requests, gathering quotations, and maintaining records while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders according to procedures.
- Collect quotations from approved suppliers, assist in evaluation and comparison.
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, delivery schedules, and required documentation.
- Communicate product information, pricing, and availability with suppliers.
- Support supplier registration, pre‑qualification, and documentation management.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Update procurement trackers and databases to reflect current status.
- Coordinate with internal departments and warehouse staff to ensure timely receipt and documentation of deliveries.
- Assist in resolving routine delivery issues, documentation discrepancies, and damaged goods.
- Support market research, supplier and pricing information maintenance, and audit documentation preparation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement, administration, logistics or similar.
- Fluency in Kurdish, Arabic and English.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience with procurement software (preferred).
