National Project Officer (Enterprise Development Fund)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Project Officer to support the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) in Dohuk, Iraq. The role will focus on quality assurance, stakeholder coordination, and the management of EDF applications within the Livelihoods programme.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate quality‑assurance processes for the EDF Technical Team, including Environmental & Social Action Plans (ESAP) and Milestone Verification (MV).
• Act as the focal point for multiple EDF adaptations and ensure alignment with programme objectives.
• Participate in the long‑listing and short‑listing of EDF applications, supporting the selection of eligible enterprises.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, national and international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs to facilitate project implementation.
• Collaborate with the Livelihoods Senior Management Team and the EDF Project Officer to ensure effective programme delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field, with at least two years of relevant professional experience; or a university degree in the same fields with two years of experience.
• Proven experience in liaising with external stakeholders, UN agencies, and NGOs.
• Experience in livelihoods programming, particularly with small and medium‑sized enterprises.
