IT Support Lead (Onsite)

About the role

The IT Support Lead is responsible for coordinating front‑line IT support activities at a site‑based Oil & Gas operation. Reporting to the IT Support Manager, the role ensures reliable day‑to‑day IT services, supervises technicians, and acts as the primary escalation point for complex issues.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily IT support activities for site users and ensure SLA compliance.
• Provide hands‑on support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and standard applications.
• Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests; escalate high‑impact issues as needed.
• Support basic server, network, and application troubleshooting.
• Maintain IT security, access control, and acceptable‑use policy compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors and third‑party support teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate IT asset, access, and support documentation.
• Assist with IT onboarding, inductions, and user awareness activities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in IT operations or service support, preferably in Oil & Gas or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of ITIL‑based service operations.
• Relevant site HSE or safety certifications are a plus.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred; Microsoft or equivalent technical certifications desirable.

Required skills

• Windows desktop administration and basic server administration.
• Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Basic networking concepts (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
• Endpoint security and antivirus tools.
• ITSM / Service Desk tools.
