Information Security Officer

About the role

The Bank of Jordan seeks an Information Security & Cybersecurity Officer to implement and monitor security policies, controls, and standards across the organization. You will help identify risks, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor information security and cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls.
• Monitor security controls across systems and networks, including firewalls and secure communications.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security testing and coordinate remediation of findings.
• Support risk assessments for new systems, projects and services.
• Assist in incident response, documentation, and investigation activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, COBIT and related regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking.
• Strong English communication and computer skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of firewalls and secure communications.
• Experience with data encryption and access controls.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, COBIT frameworks.
• Understanding of vulnerability assessment and remediation processes.
• Professional certifications such as CISM, Security+, ISO 27001 (preferred).
