GIS Coordinator

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced GIS Coordinator to support its Iraq Business Unit. The role focuses on the development and execution of the Field concession program by managing geospatial information, land allocation processes, and GIS services. It is a full‑time, on‑site position in Basra operating on a 5‑day on / 2‑day off rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a centralized GIS database for field concession activities.
• Support the GIS Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure data integrity.
• Provide accurate spatial information for land allocation and project planning.
• Coordinate GIS services with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Generate maps, reports, and analyses to support operational decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in GIS coordination within oil, gas, or energy projects.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data management and land allocation workflows.
• Ability to work on‑site in a challenging environment and adhere to a 5/2 rotation schedule.
