About the role
The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is seeking a qualified female Community Liaison Officer to join its Operations team in Chwarta, Iraq. The role focuses on engaging local communities, gathering vital data, and delivering risk education related to explosive ordnance and small arms.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with communities through meetings, interviews, mapping and participatory activities.
- Coordinate with village and sub‑district authorities.
- Conduct community and household surveys, focus group discussions and collect accident/victim data.
- Gather and report contamination data using predefined reporting systems (Contamination Baseline Assessment).
- Deliver direct Explosive Ordnance Risk Education to target audiences.
Required profile
- Female candidate, as required by team structure.
- Willing and able to work on‑site in Chwarta, Iraq.
