Treasury Accountant

About the role

Al Mutahida Company is looking for a detail‑oriented Treasury Accountant to join its Finance team in Iraq. The role involves managing daily treasury transactions, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate bank and cash records.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily bank balances and cash positions to support operational funding requirements.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, bank transfers and payment instructions according to approved schedules.
• Record treasury transactions, perform timely bank reconciliations and coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Payable.
• Track loans, bank facilities, interest, charges and repayment schedules.
• Maintain records of letters of credit, bank guarantees and foreign‑currency balances.
• Support month‑end closing, treasury reporting and audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of treasury or accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of cash‑flow management, banking transactions and bank reconciliation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality and good communication skills in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems.
