Site EHS Specialist

About the role

The Site EHS Specialist joins GE Vernova’s Gas Power Field Services team to ensure health, safety and environmental (EHS) excellence on operational sites. Working across planning, execution and post‑outage review phases, the specialist supports field crews in delivering safe, compliant and sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams to develop and implement site‑specific EHS plans for mid‑complexity outages.
• Participate in Outage Readiness Reviews, communicating EHS requirements and managing compliance with in‑country legislation and GE Vernova EHS programs.
• Identify, assess and mitigate workplace hazards before deployment and during field activities.
• Coach and advise site personnel on safe work practices, injury‑prevention initiatives and accountability.
• Support senior EHS specialists on high‑complexity projects as needed.
• Document and close out outage EHS performance, contributing to continuous‑improvement reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental health and safety within industrial or energy‑generation environments.
• Familiarity with local EHS legislation and ability to apply it on field sites.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• Effective communication skills to interact with engineers, managers and customers.
• Willingness to work onsite at diverse locations and travel as required.
