Senior Programme Manager – Durable Solutions & DDRR

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead its Durable Solutions and Displacement, Development, Return and Reintegration (DDRR) portfolio in Iraq. This position will support the Government of Iraq and affected communities through the design, implementation and monitoring of multi‑year peace, recovery and solutions programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and coordination for durable‑solutions and DDRR activities across the Iraq portfolio.
• Develop work plans, budgets and monitoring frameworks in line with IOM and UN standards.
• Ensure effective collaboration with government ministries, UN agencies, NGOs and local partners.
• Oversee programme reporting, data collection and impact evaluation.
• Manage risks, ensure compliance with donor requirements and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing large‑scale humanitarian or development programmes, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of durable‑solutions and DDRR concepts and practices.
• Experience working with government bodies and multilateral partners.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an asset.
