Lead Facilities Management Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Facilities Management Engineer to direct both hard and soft services across our facilities in Karbala. The role involves overseeing maintenance teams, coordinating projects, and ensuring reliable, safe operations of building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise FM engineers, supervisors, technicians and external service providers.
• Manage hard FM services such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, civil and building systems maintenance.
• Oversee soft FM services including housekeeping, cleaning, waste management, landscaping and pest control.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance activities and facility improvement projects.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, KPIs and asset management documentation.
• Ensure efficient day‑to‑day facility operations with minimal downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of facilities management experience covering both hard and soft services.
• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams and contractors.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
