K2 Transacting Officer

About the role

The K2 Transacting Officer is responsible for reviewing and verifying customer documents before initiating K2 transfers, ensuring consistency across all related paperwork, and maintaining communication with clients throughout the shipment process.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify all customer‑submitted documents to ensure importer and beneficiary information matches invoices, transfer applications, and customs declarations.
• Confirm that goods descriptions align with supporting documents and communicate any deficiencies to customers.
• Monitor receipt of post‑shipment documents after goods enter Iraq and follow up to obtain final customs declarations, clearance documents, ASYCUDA records, duty payment receipts, warehouse release documents, and final bills of lading.
• Track outstanding documents, delayed clearances, expired follow‑up periods, incomplete import evidence, and discrepancies between invoice and customs values.
• Prepare exception reports and escalate unresolved cases while ensuring compliance with CBI K2 requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of banking experience, preferably in corporate banking, K2 transaction banking or operations.
