Assistant Lecturer

About the role

The University of Halabja seeks a full‑time Assistant Lecturer to join its academic staff. This on‑site position involves delivering lectures, guiding student research, and supporting curriculum development within the designated department.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures for undergraduate courses.
• Develop and update course materials, including syllabi and assessment tools.
• Mentor and advise students on academic projects and research.
• Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and presentations.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Doctorate preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Kurdish; proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an academic environment.
• Relevant teaching or lecturing experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
