System Administrator

About the role

Onyxes Technologies, an ICT provider for enterprise and government projects, is seeking a System Administrator to maintain the stability, performance and security of its client IT environments. The role offers end‑to‑end ownership of operations and a path to senior technical contribution.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, virtualization platforms (Sangfor HCI, VMware, Hyper‑V) and storage arrays.
• Manage Veeam backup jobs, repositories and disaster‑recovery runbooks, performing regular restore tests.
• Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and other Windows Server roles.
• Administer SQL Server instances, including backups, maintenance plans and access control.
• Deploy, image and manage endpoint fleets, including MDM enrollment, asset tracking and software packaging.
• Configure security settings, permissions and endpoint protection across managed environments.
• Develop PowerShell scripts (and optionally Python/Bash) to automate routine tasks and reporting.
• Monitor infrastructure health with SolarWinds and respond to alerts within defined SLAs.
• Document procedures, configurations and troubleshooting guides while enforcing change control.
• Collaborate with vendors, cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4–7 years of hands‑on system administration in enterprise or government settings.
• Strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Proven experience with server virtualization (Sangfor HCI, VMware or Hyper‑V).
• Hands‑on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Experience managing enterprise storage (SAN, LUN, RAID, multipath).
• Solid scripting skills – PowerShell required; Python or Bash a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of data‑center networking (VLANs, switching, storage networking).
